About the Event

Andrew Green was born October 6, 1820.  He would have been 203 in 2023. Join us for a one hour presentation with serious research and salacious and compelling stories. Be our guests for birthday cake and a champagne toast.

Andrew Haswell Green, a Worcester native, was largely responsible for New York’s Central Park, the New York Public Library, the Metropolitan Museums of Art and Natural History, the removal of the Tweed Ring and the “rescue” of a threatened Niagara Falls. His personal life is as interesting as his accomplishments are daunting.
