About the Worcester County Courthouse: The Worcester County Courthouse is a historic Greek Revival and Classical Revival building at 2 Main Street. The oldest portion of the current building was constructed in 1845 by Ammi B. Young on a parcel of land which had been the site of a courthouse since the 1730s. There have been several additions to the building, in 1878,  1899, and in the 1950s. The building has been decommissioned as a courthouse and was converted into loft-style apartments completed in 2021.  It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

About the artist: Mark Waitkus is a Worcester native, he gathers inspiration for his art from historic settings, historic stadiums, legendary teams, and memorable moments in sports. His expressive brush strokes and use of color bring his watercolors to life, providing a feeling of being a part of the nostalgia he recreates. Waitkus skillfully uses each and every stroke to present rich color and detail.
